Tidewater Farm - who, what, when

Who 

We are the McGuires, a family of 3 with big dreams, but limited agricultural experience. Christopher works full time for a tech company selling medical software to surgeons. Jordan, former special education teacher, now stays home with our 1-year-old son, Trey. We are also excited to be welcoming another little boy in December! While our life is busy, we have a true desire to create a small farm that provides serenity, nutrient-dense produce, high-quality livestock, and a haven for the community.
 

What 

Our plans are far and wide, so we have narrowed them down for the foreseeable future in order to provide the best quality. This season we have planted sunflowers that are currently in full bloom. They will be sold at local vendors and incorporated into photography sessions. We also planted three types of organic pumpkins that will be ready for the fall season. The pumpkins will either be sold at our roadside stand or available for a U-Pick event. Be on the lookout for your chance to vote!

When

Timeline:

Year 1 - sunflowers, pumpkins, retail, photography on the farm

Year ⅔ - hayrides, corn maze, variety of floral fields, host events on the farm

Year 5 - Christmas trees, heirloom produce, livestock, USDA organic certification
